The SMART Board® 600i interactive whiteboard system combines an award-winning SMART Board interactive whiteboard, a 3D-ready SMART UF65 projector and an extended control panel. This integrated system adds flexibility and efficiency to the classroom by helping you easily access and control all multimedia devices and the projector from the front of the interactive whiteboard.

As a fully integrated learning system, the 600i streamlines your teaching experience by enabling you to engage students with interactive lessons while simultaneously accessing and controlling all your classroom technology.

Like all SMART Board interactive whiteboards, the 600i has a large, touch-enabled surface that allows you to write in digital ink with your finger or a pen, interact with applications and save your notes. The 600i also comes with SMART Notebook collaborative learning software, which helps you create, deliver and manage high-impact interactive lessons.

And if your classroom uses widescreen laptops and monitors, or if you just need a little more room to work, the system is available in a wide-format option.

Touch system

Write or perform mouse functions by touching the board with a pen or your finger, and erase using the eraser tool – no proprietary tools are required.

Touch Recognition

Touch the board with a pen or your finger to write or perform mouse functions. Erase using the eraser tool or the palm of your hand. SMART’s Touch Recognition feature enables the board to switch between modes automatically – no special tools or actions required.

Pen Tray

Pick up a pen or the eraser, and the Pen Tray automatically detects which tool you’ve selected. Buttons on the Pen Tray activate the On-Screen Keyboard, right-click and help functions.

Digital ink

Simply pick up a pen to write in digital ink. You can even use your finger to write. No special tools are required, and you don’t have to launch any software. Just walk up to the interactive whiteboard and start writing.

SMART Notebook software included

SMART Board interactive whiteboards come with SMART Notebook collaborative learning software, which sets the standard for creating, delivering and managing interactive lessons within a single application. It puts all your instructional materials at your fingertips, and allows you to save any notes or content you write during the lesson to share with students later on. A powerful and easy-to-use application, SMART Notebook software enables you to readily deliver interactive lessons that keep your students engaged and interested.

Save Function

Capture your work to SMART Notebook software as a screenshot that you can edit, or save your notes directly into several software applications, including Microsoft Windows versions of PowerPoint, Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD software.

With the 600i, your computer, projector and SMART Board interactive whiteboard are all connected, so you can turn the entire system on and off quickly with the push of a single button.

Front-of-room centralized control

Switch between all your audiovisual devices directly from the extended control panel. The panel provides centralized control of your classroom technology, including DVD players, digital cameras, document cameras and VCRs. You can move from a website to a video documentary to a review question, quickly and seamlessly. The extended control panel also has a dual-USB port that enables you to connect two computers to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and easily switch between them as required.

Widescreen option

Enjoy more room to work. The wide-format 685i4 model gives you 20% more working space than a standard interactive whiteboard – ideal for classrooms that use widescreen laptops and monitors. The 685i4 combines the SMART Board 685 interactive whiteboard with the SMART UF65w projector, which delivers a 16:10 aspect ratio and native WXGA (1280 x 800) widescreen resolution.

Network-enabled projector

Connect the SMART UF65 projector to your school's IP network to remotely control and manage it through the web server or SNMP client. As a networked interactive whiteboard system, the 600i's asset management features enable you to control and manage the projector remotely.

Simple installation

Install the 600i quickly and easily with the boom and swivel mount. The SMART UF65 projector is mounted directly above the interactive whiteboard, so any classroom can accommodate the 600i without needing complicated wiring or ceiling mounting. The system's integrated elements also ensure it is easy to maintain.

Multiposition boom

Adjust the 600i boom to accommodate multiple room sizes and SMART Board interactive whiteboards. At installation and setup, the SMART UF65 projector and the wide-format SMART UF65w projector can be configured to accommodate multiple room sizes and SMART Board interactive whiteboards, including the 560, 580, 660, 680 and 685 models.

Damage resistant

Use the system with confidence – the unique collapsible boom ensures that even in rare cases of misuse or damage, the system can be easily repaired by replacing one inexpensive part.

Improved lamp life

The 600i projector bulb lasts for 3,000 hours in standard mode and 5,000 hours in economy mode. And because the projector is network enabled, you can receive e-mail alerts for temperature warnings or when lamp life is running low.

Low power consumption

Conserve energy with the SMART UF65 projector, which uses less than one watt of electricity in standby mode. It is also compliant with EuP standards.

3D-ready

The SMART UF65 and SMART UF65w projectors are 3D-ready and will support advancements in interactive 3D content and applications.

Shadow reduction

Reduce shadows and distractions with the SMART UF65 projector. Because this boom-mounted, short-throw projector is located directly above the SMART Board interactive whiteboard, it creates fewer shadows behind the user, improving the visibility of images, videos and notes.

Durable surface

The SMART Board 600 series interactive whiteboard’s resilient, hard-coated, polyester front sheet is secured over a robust aluminum composite backboard. The surface is tear-proof, optimized for projection, compatible with dry-erase markers and easily cleaned. With an incredibly low return merchandise authorization (RMA) rate of less than 0.01%, SMART Board interactive whiteboards may be the toughest interactive whiteboards on the market. All SMART Board interactive whiteboards are rigorously tested, designed and produced in an ISO 9001 certified facility.

Theft resistant

Feel secure with your technology investment – the protection features of the 600i make it a less attractive target for thieves. The projector head, boom and base are all attached, and because the SMART UF65 projector has no buttons, it is rendered inoperable if removed from the extended control panel. The Kensington cable lock slot and padlock loop are additional visual and physical theft deterrents.

Filter free

The filter-free design of SMART’s UF65 projector eliminates the need for filter cleaning or replacement.

Choices to suit students

Add the SMART Audio classroom amplification system or USB speakers to turn the 600i into a complete multimedia center. You can also add the height-adjustable wall mount, enabling you to easily lower the interactive whiteboard for shorter students or raise it higher for teachers and taller students.

Warranty

Get a three-year warranty on the SMART UF65 projector. The SMART Board interactive whiteboard has a two-year warranty, which is extended to five years upon product registration.
